Next Meeting September 11 at 6:00pm -- General Discussion

The next meeting of the Maine Flash Platform User Group will be on September 11th at 6:00pm at the offices of Penobscot Bay Media, LLC, in Camden, Maine. Penobscot Bay Media has moved up the street to 51 Mechanic Street, Suite 300. This is the old Kodak Center building, for those familiar with the area. There is plenty of free parking next to the building.

We will be discussing what we'd like to see and do over the next few months. A couple of ideas to be thinking about: developing a site for a fictitious company, or even better a site for a local non-profit; setting up a code day for charity (does the local animal shelter need a new app?) where we invite a bunch of coders to do something for a good cause; FlexCamp: can we get enough developers to host a Frozen North FlexCamp in Feb (or thereabouts)? Any other ideas? Maybe a few minutes to touch base with each other informally on what we've been up to lately.

Remember, the more meetings you attend, the better your chances of winning a free software package from Adobe. The next big drawing is scheduled for December. Also, please join us to see, and borrow from, our ever-increasing group library.

Please contact Kirk Holbrook (kholbrook[at]gwi[dot]net), if you would like more information. This meeting could be shared via Adobe Acrobat Connect (formerly Macromedia Breeze), but since it's not really a code-share, demo kind of thing, in-person would be a better experience.
