Next Meeting on January 8th at 6:00pm

The next meeting of the Maine Flash Platform User Group will be on January 8th at 6:00pm at the offices of Penobscot Bay Media, LLC, in Camden, Maine. Penobscot Bay Media has moved up the street to 51 Mechanic Street, Suite 300. This is the old Kodak Center building, for those familiar with the area. There is plenty of free parking next to the building.

We will be taking a look at SlideRocket, a flex based presentation tool, similar to Microsoft PowerPoint. We'll also take a look at a few other announcements.

We will roll the dice to see if we have a big software giveaway from Adobe (7 or 11 means we draw that night!). Last month we talked about a few different ways to spice up the software drawings. After a vote, we decided to roll the dice each month (until we have the drawing). You must be present to win the big prize. So, no one will know ahead of time when the big drawing will be, unless it happens to be in June or December. We give away two packages from Adobe each year: one for January through June, and one for July through December.

In December, we raffled off a free Adobe software package. Kenton Williams walked away (figuratively speaking, as he had to download it later) with a free copy of Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium.

Please contact Kirk Holbrook (kholbrook[at]gwi[dot]net), if you would like more information. This meeting could be shared via Adobe Acrobat Connect (formerly Macromedia Breeze), but I would need notice beforehand.
